How stuck are we?

When the Coronavirus of 2020 swooped into the United States and the world pandemic became our reality, lots of mental adjustment was necessary.  Stay in.  Self isolate. Practice social distancing.  Wear protective gloves, masks and wash your hands thoroughly and more frequently.  Sanitize.

I found it interesting that the first thought that entered my mind was Anne Frank.  Having read her diary and watched movies about her, I found myself in awe of her strength, especially given her age. Most applicable was a quote I know, from her, “The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God.
Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes
to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature.”
         ~Anne Frank

By no means am I comparing our indoor-ness to her intentional hiding for her life, but I do note the same appreciation for quiet and being inspired by nature and knowing God is ever near, as she so eloquently wrote. God has not left us, but many are guilty of not seeing Him, not listening to Him because they are too busy.  Their calendars are too full of commitments.  Anne’s calendar was not filled.  Our calendars during this crisis are not filled.  Does it take a holocaust or a pandemic to awaken us to God’s power and love?  He loves us unconditionally and needs our full attention.  Don’t just give Him your time, when you can fit it into your schedule.  Be aware He lives within you and be thankful. You aren’t STUCK, STICK to your Heavenly Father.  He is in control!
