I often think about CHOICES I have made in my life and how different my life might have been if I had made different selections.  The same is true with the CHANCES I have taken, mostly good and some less than intelligent that fortunately didn’t result in the terrible outcomes they could have.   The choices I made and chances I took ultimately led to CHANGES in my life which were also mostly positive with a few negative results sprinkled in along the way.  Probably all of us can relate to what I am talking about and have second guessed ourselves.  

What if I had gone to a different college?  What if I had taken another job?  What if I had chosen a different career path altogether?  What if I had married someone different?  What if I had different friends? What if I had moved to a different area for work?  What if I would have had more children instead of just one? 

“What ifs” could make you crazy if you allowed yourself to dwell on them, so my advice is don’t!    Everything that has happened to us, the choices we have made and chances we have taken have led us to where we are today and made us the people we have become for better or for worse. 

The three C’s in life are Choice, Chance and Change…Oh, it just occurred to me the fourth and greatest C in our life is the ever-present blessing of CHRIST who loves us unconditionally.  Finding and believing in Christ makes the other C’s so much easier.  Christ guides us to make better Choices to take smarter Chances if we want anything in life to Change and improve. We all have the free will and opportunity to think and make decisions for ourselves in this great country of ours.  Everything in life is not always going to be perfect as we don’t have control over everything. If you are unhappy with where you are however, follow the three C’s, led by the greatest C of all, Christ as your example.

I have the verse from Joshua 24:15 on a wall hanging in my living room.  “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”  That is the choice I have made, the chance I have taken and the changes in my life  are awesome.  Have a wonderful, Christ filled life!
