When are taxes due?
When is my term paper due?
When is your baby due?
Due Dates are important markers. We need to prioritize them in our schedules. Make note of them. Pay attention to them as the calendar moves daily toward them. Be prepared.
Advent is celebrated in the Christian faith as a great time of expectation for the birth of our Lord (or a grand forward-looking time for the second coming of Christ). Four Sundays, prior to Christmas, we await and anticipate the “reason for the season,” Jesus entry into the world.
Seasonal preparation, is not a phrase intended to mean that your tree should be up and decorated or your house garland wrapped and tinsel-filled, but it does mean that your hearts should be aligning your mind to preparation for the DUE DATE. Advent. Christ’s birth. God in human-form. Mary’s chosen role to nurture our dear Savior of the World. God’s angel messengers guiding Joseph into his role as husband and father. Angels, Mary, Joseph, shepherds, kings, animals, stars, so many “pieces” fit together perfectly to fulfill the DUE DATE of Jesus’ coming. Our Master’s plan, celebrated through the season of Advent, produces God’s Holy Son. Perfect timing of His DUE DATE.
Receive the most beautiful gift of creation, God’s unconditional love poured out upon you. Fill your hearts this Advent season with eager anticipation and exciting expectancy. Birth announcement coming soon.
