I remember very vividly begging my mother to buy a certain cereal, not because of the cereal but because of the toy inside that I just had to have, like a Captain Midnight ring.  Cracker Jacks popcorn/peanut snacks were always a favorite because there was a prize in every box. (If you were lucky enough to get the tattoo sticker, you wore it proudly until bath time.) I believe there were powdered detergent products that offered a hand towel inside the box. What a great sales idea to offer a “free” gift inside for the purchase of the product!

That sales gimmick and others are just that, gimmicks.  No gimmicks “buying” into finding God.  He is omnipotent and IN CHARGE.  Give yourself completely into His care.  No strings attached, nothing to purchase, no hidden agenda.  God is available and loves you unconditionally.  No small print to beware of on this journey.

The commercial world around us will entice us to come in, to purchase, to sign up, to invest, to buy two get one free. Our Lord will open His loving arms and allow you to shelter for life…free! Jesus already paid the price for you, with His death and resurrection.

If your relationship with God is strong and your faith is a “rock” for your foundation, have you shared the Good News?  Invite others to know Him.  Turn them on to a Zoom Bible Study, a church service in person or online. Be a light and let God’s love emit from you for others to see your joy in the Lord.

Open His Word, find the gift of eternal life.
