I happened to overhear a mover arriving with a load of furniture for a new neighbor moving in to our development. He mentioned that apparently this section of the neighborhood was so new, his GPS could not find their home.  He called the homeowner who suggested he switch to the app WAZE (I have it.  It’s free and excellent!), anyway, WAZE directed them right to the front door, no problems.

Ok, I am of an age where I remember folding and unfolding the cumbersome road maps when traversing to a new destination.  Sometimes, as navigator, I would recommend pulling off to the side of the road, so the map could be studied and even mark the needed turns and roads to travel.

With the internet, you can now print out a direct route map with mileage listed and approximate time for your travel.  This takes you from your door to your destination.  GPS systems in your vehicle usually include an onscreen map and audible directions, and of course, most smart phones include some form of guided directions or the availability of apps to help.

Isn’t it absolutely wonderful that the Way to our heavenly Father is so incredibly easy, we don’t need an electronic gadget, or a GPS system in our vehicle, or a foldable map and the WAY is absolutely FREE?  The price has been prepaid for you already. The Bible tells us:

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'” (John 14:6).

No directional gadget necessary.  Open your Bible.  Study His Word.  Find a community of believers to share and learn together.  Your map does not need to be bulletin board size and foldable.  God loves you unconditionally and through His word, He will become your compass and guide.
