Today’s a whole new day!   Since I woke up this morning, I have a whole new day ahead of me.  What plans does Jesus have for me today:  to be a friend, to encourage, to offer care in a broken world?
Could I make a difference in the life of another soul? 

Sometimes we’re faced with a day that’s not so easy.  Can we survive this day of pain or loneliness?  Can we get through without sinking into the pit of despair?  Whatever the day may bring, we will not walk alone. 

The disciples of Jesus faced days just like we do.  Their days would be filled with opportunities, challenges and troubles.  Jesus knew that.  In one of his last messages to them, he said, “I have told you this so that you will have peace by being united to me.  The world will make you suffer.  But, be brave!  I have defeated the world.”  John 16:33

Jesus’ words of encouragement are sent to our troubled world as well.  His words still hold power today.  He walks with us.  The unconditional love he offered his disciples, is the same unconditional love he offers freely to you, to me, to all of us.
