When I was a child, I loved to hear stories either told to me or read to me. My favorite story was “The Little Engine that Could”.  The little train engine had to climb a large hill that seemed to be an impossible task, but he chugged on saying: I think I can, I think I can. He got to the top of the hill and was excited that he did it and he said, I thought I could.

Have you ever felt like this little engine? When things happen around us that seem to be overwhelming, we have a source of power to draw on, the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus has promised to be with us and grant us the strength to “climb our hill”.  Read Philippians 4:13, and remember:  God loves you unconditionally! 

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Phil. 4:13)
