Great is Your Faithfulness

Lamentations 3:22-23, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

FAITHFULNESS means:   loyal, constant, staunch, steadfast, resolute, firm in adherence to whatever one owes allegiance. Faithful implies unswerving adherence to a person or thing or to the oath or promise by which a tie was contracted. (Google)

Oh, my goodness, I fall short in “faithfulness.”  My intentions are good but am I constant and steadfast? Are we as believers faithful in our attendance with a community of believers? Are we faithful in our tithes to God, the church and its work?  Are we faithful to our spouse? Are we faithful to our employer? Are we faithful to our circle of friends and family?

How beautiful the above two verses are from Lamentations. Our Lord’s love is steadfast and unconditional, never coming to an end. New every morning is His great faithfulness to us. Unswerving allegiance to us, His chosen children.  What a blessing! When your eyes open each morning and as you close them each night, God is loving you faithfully, constantly.

May your prayer be for your own faithfulness to be sharpened and molded into a staunch loyalty, unswerving.  Will you fall short? Yes.  We are human and sinners, but with prayer and meditation, our faithfulness can improve.  Our relationship with our Heavenly Father and subsequently our church, our loved ones, our jobs, our neighbors, and others can be strong in loyalty and faithfulness.  Be a blessing!
