KIND

Have you ever had a KIND snack bar?  They are nutritious and delicious.  I do not work for the company, but am just mentioning Daniel Lubetzky’s company and its clever name to the tasty bars they create.

The short four-letter word KIND brings to mind Ephesians 4:32 “Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God has forgiven you because you belong to Christ.”

Not sure why this odd comparison came to mind, but the Holy Spirit stirs these thoughts in me and I was thinking about all the varieties of KIND bars and it made me consider all the varied kindnesses we could share with others.  In this same verse from Ephesians, it uses the word tenderhearted and that implies a gentle kindness. How can WE be kind? A friend shared with me that while waiting in the fast-food lane at a drive thru restaurant, she arrived at the window to find out the driver ahead of her had paid for her order.  KIND. My neighbor just planted a new tree.  Mother Earth appreciated the KIND effort. While returning my cart at the grocery store, I gathered up three others that were randomly sitting throughout spaces near me and scooted all four into the empty cart return. KIND. Recently, while cooking dinner, I looked up to find my husband smiling at me.  KIND.

A few small efforts, yet all KIND and as varied as the KIND bars Lubetzky offers.  Don’t hesitate to be kind, tenderhearted and forgiving as written in God’s Word.  He loves us unconditionally and has forgiven us, how KIND of Him! I pray you will open your heart and mind to finding even more ways to be kind to one another.  (Guess you could try a KIND bar, too). Yummy
