Left/Right Up/Down Straight/Crooked

Hm?  Which pathway through life have you chosen? God has given His creation of humans FREE WILL, so which way will you choose?

I must say when driving, walking, biking, usually the choice of left or right depends solely on my destination.  If I know the way, it is easy; if it is a new destination, then GPS, navigation tools help make the decision of left or right quite easy.  We all know what happens if you are not using those tools, you might turn and turn again getting lost or you might just have a delay reaching your destination.

Up or down decisions sometimes relate to morals.  Taking the high road rather than stooping down to level of a quarrelsome, unpleasant person.  Up and down may refer to stocks and your decisions to follow the majority or your broker’s lead or to sell up.  Big decisions.  Up and down may concern living choices, an upper-level condo/apt or down to a lower level for easier access and perhaps a lower cost.

Isaiah 45 states, “I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron…That you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.”

In Luke we read, “A voice of one calling in the desert, Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him. Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth. And all mankind will see God’s salvation.”

It certainly appears that with the decisions of left or right, up or down and straight or crooked, the choice of including the Lord in the decision-making will result in rough ways being made smooth.  Kinda’ think that is a no-brainer.  Take Him with you at all times.  It definitely does not mean rough roads will not appear in your life’s choices but having the Ultimate Guide as your companion, your turns, your ups and downs and your paths will be made passable.  He loves you unconditionally.  Remember to include Him always and thank Him!
