Psalm 107: 1 (from The Message) states, “Oh, thank God—He’s so good! His love never runs out.” What if as your alarm goes off, or the sun hits your eyes to awaken you, or you are jolted awake by thunder…well, what if, you programmed into your mind, “Thank you God that Your love never runs out.”
What a powerful way to begin your waking moments! Do you want to one-up that experience? Just say, “God’s love never runs out,” right out loud. Thinking can sometimes allow thoughts to swirl around in your brain, but speaking them aloud, lets those thoughts travel from your mouth, to your ears and into your heart. How awesome to hear first thing, “Thank you God that your love never runs out!” You have thanked your Heavenly Father AND reminded yourself that His love is unconditional and never ending. What a terrific way to start each day!
Do you check expiration dates? Do you place your pantry shelf items in order of dates they expire, so you don’t have to throw away out-of-date items? I really was never like my mother, a neat and tidy type A, everything in its place kind of person, BUT with age…LOL; I admit, since retirement, and time to be home, I have morphed into a type A sort of person. That includes making sure I have checked expiration dates and my pantry shelves are lined up in progressive order so items get used before their “time is up.”
How absolutely wonderful that our Heavenly Father’s love for us NEVER EXPIRES! I am so thankful for His grace and mercy, and knowing His love for me is endless; that is a precious gift!
With alarms on our phones, virtual assistants that talk to us and give audible reminders, you have everything to greet you in the morning. Program yourself to respond to your alarm, your wake-up call, with: “Thank you God that Your love never runs out.” Trust me, a smile will fill your soul and your day will start beautifully.
