In the beginning, God created –EVERYTHING!! And it is all beautiful!
As I sit here this warm and sunny fall day looking out my window at the autumn foliage here in Connecticut, I am in awe of the scenery that we so often take for granted.
v2 “For the wonder of each hour — hill and vale and tree and flower; sun and moon and stars of light.”
The vivid leaves and flowering mums in the garden all are touched by His creative hand for our enjoyment. We also enjoy the crisp fall evenings when we can sit outside by a quiet bonfire enjoying a peaceful visit with neighbors under the stars in the heavens. And – that spectacular full harvest moon last week; created by Him. Were you able to enjoy it?
v4 “For the joy of human love, brother, sister, parent, child: (and I add, grandchild)
God gave us our families and our friends as companions through our earthly lives. What would we do without them? They are part of the minutes, hours, and days that we spend in the beauty of the earth. sharing their love and lives with them.
Do we take it all for granted? Thank God daily for what he has given to you – scenery, family, and possessions. His handiwork given with unconditional love.
“Christ our Lord to you we raise, this our sacrifice of praise.”
