Gracias my Lord. You have been so good to me.
Gracias, my Lord. I was down, but you lifted me in your powerful hand.
Gracias, my Lord. I was weak, but you took me on your shoulders.
Gracias, thank you my Lord.
Our God wants to lift us up. He wants us not to be afraid. No matter what our circumstances, He wants to give us exactly what we need, His strength and His peace.
In the words of the Psalmist, “He helps those who are in trouble; he lifts those who have fallen.” Psalm 145:14
Jesus, we praise you for all the times you have lifted us out of the turmoil of this life. We praise you for speaking to us even in our darkest hours. We pray for those going through tough times. Lord, let this be the day they hear your voice.
These thoughts are expressed beautifully in music by the Gracias Choir. The Gracias Choir was founded in Korea in 2000. These young people sing with a heart of thankfulness. They change sadness to joy. They spread comfort and hope. They have sung before kings; they have sung in slums. Their vision, “If the world can become warmer through our music, then we will sing anywhere, anytime.”
I invite you to listen to their rendition of You Raise Me Up.
