Today is Christmas Day and I hope all of you are able to enjoy your day with family and friends and not be stressed about anything.  All the preparation is done.  The hurrying and fussing is completed.  You are done shopping for the perfect gift, baking those perfect goodies and decorating the perfect tree and yard.  What a relief to find yourself winding down to enjoy the day and the reason for the day…the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ which is the perfect part about Christmas.

The second important part about this special day is spending time with your family and friends and enjoying being together.  My goal is to relax and enjoy everyone and be present for them.  The presence of the people most important to you is so much more important than any physical present you can receive. I’m sure there are many children out there who would disagree. As we get older however, our priorities change and we desire something different. Our goal is more about peace and happiness found in ways other than material gifts.

Today we especially remember the most special gift of our lives that came to us over 2000 years ago in the form of a beautiful baby sent by God the Father to give us eternal life.  God’s unconditional love through this blessed infant who became our Savior was the most perfect gift of all time. His presence in our lives provides us with the most glorious present of all!  Jesus is the reason for the season.  May this day and all your days be blessed with our perfect Christmas gift!
