Do you lead a life that makes you feel like the “energizer bunny,” from the television commercial?  Drumming away on your drum while circling round and round, always going going going, is that you? Or perhaps, as seen from the bunny with a different battery, you start slowing down, going half-speed, feeling alone and lethargic. The strength of God can energize you.  God forgives us of our sins.  He renews us with his grace and mercy. Isaiah 41:10 “Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.”

Our gracious heavenly Father, who knows us inside and out, is better than any battery.  He recharges us with His love and forgiveness.  Our salvation is in His hands. For those promises alone, you should be drumming on your drum and spinning round and round singing His praises and thanking Him for His unconditional love for you.

I may not be a cute stuffed bunny in commercials, with seemingly unending energy, but I do know my source for strength and energy.  My source can meet my every need.  My source lives within me. For the times I feel weak or heavy laden, I can recharge by reading God’s Word, by praying, by reaching out to a community of believers.

Smile and wave as we zip past each other, singing and praising our Lord, we are in the Lord’s army.  God’s children charged and energized for whatever mission He assigns.
