The magic of reading someone’s mind baffles me. How could someone, other than myself, really know what I am thinking? What is going on in my mind is invisible to others. BUT…who knows us better than we know ourselves? Who is it that formed us? Who knows our thoughts before we speak? Psalm 139: 1-4 “God, investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand. I’m an open book to you, even from a distance, you know what I’m thinking. You know when I leave and when I get back; I’m never out of your sight. You know everything I’m going to say before I start the first sentence. I look behind me and you’re there, then up ahead and you’re there, too—your reassuring presence, coming and going.”
How wonderful that no magic is involved! Our heavenly Father loves us unconditionally EVEN though He knows our every thought…the good, the bad and the ugly thoughts, He knows them all! Adjust your focus. Reorganize your thinking. Fine-tune your thoughts. Redirect your bad thoughts or your ugly thoughts or your off-the-right track thoughts to an illumination of God. Trust Him. Your “God” focus will enlighten your mind. He will fill you with “right” thinking as your trust in Him strengthens.
No abra-ca-dab-rah needed. No wand swishing needs to happen. No crystal ball “reader” necessary. Lean on our Father. Trust Him. Guide your thinking to Him and your thoughts will follow a healthy path of love. God is love. He knows you inside and out, embrace His presence.
