When I was a child, there was a short TV program that came on every day. It was called “Live today.” Pastor Ruben K. Youngdahl, who was the pastor of the largest Lutheran church in Minnesota, would share a thought for the day. He had many great tips for daily living, but the thing I remember most, is that he ended every program with “Yesterday has gone, tomorrow may never come, so live today .”
So often we are caught up in worries about things that have passed and we can do nothing about, or we worry about tomorrow. The thing that I like about “live today” is Jesus tells us to live worry free. In Luke 12:27, He tells us to consider the lilies, if they are taken care of, so will we be. So let us all take “live today” as our battle cry!
Read Luke 12, and remember: God loves you unconditionally!
