Have you ever seen a bank statement that states, NSF? I have not personally seen this on my account, but during college years, I worked in a bank and saw NSF stamped across some accounts. Of course, NSF stands for Non-sufficient Funds. Sometimes checks and deposits passed like ships in the night and did not arrive at their destination in time to fill the account with necessary funds and therefore, a cashed check might not clear.
Have we deposited enough into our “account” with our Living Savior? The answer is a definitive, “NO.” Try as we may, we cannot out give our Lord. He was sent to die for us, to redeem us by His blood that was shed, to heal us by His suffering and death, to grant us His mercy and grace. We cannot out give the Giver. He loves us unconditionally and paid for us with His life.
What is asked of us, if we are indeed, NON-SUFFICIENT? To be pleasing in God’s sight, we must fill ourselves with God and His Word. Trust and accept His direction for our lives. Study God’s Word (you can even listen to it on a free app for your smartphone.), Involve yourself with like-minded believers and attend study groups (available online, if you are unable to attend in person). Sing His praises and be full of thanksgiving (ask your Alexa unit to play hymns and sing along).
The World sees us as non-sufficient and our Heavenly Father sees us as His Beloved Children. He chose us to be His. Feel His embrace and comfort, as you fill-up on His Word and share the Good News that we are loved and His love is never ending.
