Mightier than the Seas

Spending a little time at the beach, I was awed by the sight and sound of the mighty ocean.  I’m always impressed by the constant rolling of the waves; a sight and sound that never ceases.  Now the water of a pond or lake may be perfectly calm on a still day, but the seas churn without end.  The breakers head to the shore then recede back to the open sea. Just standing at the water’s edge is evidence of the power of the sea and the pull of the current.

In Psalm 93 we read, “More than the sounds of many waters, more than the mighty breakers of the sea, the Lord on high is mighty.”   We watch the sea; it is mighty and deep.  We see the rolling of the ocean; it is unending.  And yet the Lord on high is mightier than the seas.  He is all-powerful, omnipotent.  He is everlasting, without beginning or end.  His greatness is beyond our human understanding!

God’s love for you is deeper than the oceans and His presence is everywhere. Whenever you’re at the beach just thank God for His beautiful creation. If His hand has the power to create the seas then rest assured His hand will guide you and get you through the trials of life.  God created you and loves you. He loves you unconditionally.
