Attitude of Gratitude

Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Are you thankful?  If you are leaning on Jesus as a mentor and guide for your walk through this life, then you know how important “thanks” is to your journey.  When Jesus was in Bethsaida, near the Sea of Galilee and crowds were gathering to hear His lessons, a “feeding miracle” took place.  With loaves of bread and a few fish, thousands were fed, BUT, before all of this occurred, Jesus bowed his head and gave thanks.

When the Last Supper, Passover meal, was being served, Jesus bowed his head and gave thanks. Jesus knew His end was near and that He must suffer for us, but yet still, He gave thanks.

Our dear Father loves us unconditionally and has given each of us so much.  Our riches are many, from our complex bodies of microscopic cells that keep us functioning daily, to the beautiful world of nature encompassing our earth. We have so very much to be thankful for each and every day.

When your life feels topsy turvy and chaos surrounds you, allow yourself to feel firmly planted in Jesus and create an attitude of gratitude with your thanks. Give thanks that Jesus came to save you and you are created in the Father’s image. Be blessed as your constant gratitude will richly improve your attitude.
