Our of Sorts II

I wrote this blog last February. I have been feeling out of sorts again recently. I have been grumpy and rude with people who do not deserve this kind of treatment. So I thought that I would get the blog out again and revisit it.

My premise remains the same. When I begin to act out of sorts, I only have to refresh my constant contact with God who loves me unconditionally, no matter how grumpy I am. By the way, if you were on the receiving end of my behavior, please accept my sincere apologies.

Here is my original blog published in February 2022:

Funny saying – “Out of Sorts”, what does it mean?  Kind of sad?  Kind of angry?  Kind of miserable? Out of place?  Maybe feeling some of all these emotions?

Many years ago, I found a greeting card with a funny little character on the front wearing a very disgruntled face.  The greeting read: “I’m not mad, I’m out of sorts.”  When you opened the card, the answer was “Please send sorts.”  I laughed right out loud whenever I read that card.

I never mailed the card to anyone.  I kept it as a reminder that I can’t always identify what emotions are dogging my days or why.  I can just be out of sorts.  When that happens, I turn my life and my will over to the care and keeping of a loving God (once again and again and again).

God loves me unconditionally. God loves you unconditionally. God has an unlimited supply of “sorts” and sends them lavishly whenever asked. We are blessed!
