Beasts of Burden

Let’s see…. what could you name as a beast of burden? Hm? A pack animal that can carry heavy loads, a donkey, perhaps a camel, elephant, mule, or ox…. but, is there some ONE you might consider a “bearer” of burdens?

Our dear Lord is most definitely, a bearer of our burdens.  He can carry anything you choose to release to Him. Take a moment to ponder that statement.  What can you release? Could you let go the worry over finances?  Could you possibly let go of the burden you carry concerning your children’s future?  Could you let go the burden of your recent negative health diagnosis?  Could you let go of the burden you feel, trying through varied avenues, to find a life partner?

Your Heavenly Father is waiting, yes, waiting patiently for you to recognize His strength.  He is more than able to carry any burden that you release to Him. Let go and Let God, a familiar saying, often seen quoted on bumper stickers or wall décor signs, sums it up.  Release.  Give it up.  Let it go.  Turn it over.  Carrying life’s burdens is not your job, nor are you equipped to be the “beast” of burdens.

Believing in Jesus as your Savior, does not free you from sinning, but when you repent of those sins, you are forgiven.  The burden is released.  Your heavy load removed.  Grace and mercy can fill you.

Don’t see yourself has a pack mule, carrying a load of worry, concern, sin, negativity and pain. Instead release your burden to our Almighty Father.  Allow Him to bear your burdens, freeing you to worship, praise and thank Him for His omnipotence, grace, mercy and unconditional love.

        Release.  Be lighter.  Praise Him.
