Look at the World

April is a wonderful month in Florida, for many the beginning of beach season.  It’s a perfect time to look around us, to see the marvels that God has given to us.  There’s a lovely song by John Rutter that expresses this beautifully.  John Milford Rutter is a contemporary English composer, conductor, editor, arranger, and record producer of choral music.  He is known for founding The Cambridge Singers at his alma mater, Cambridge University.

The lyrics begin with this message:

“Look at the world, everything all around us
Look at the world and marvel every day.
Look at the world: so many joys and wonders,
So many miracles along our way.” *

The performance of “Look at the World” which follows was performed by a great chorus of combined choirs and combined children’s choirs, directed by John Rutter.

I hope you enjoy it.  In the final stanza you will hear this message:

“Every good gift, all that we need and cherish
Comes from the Lord in token of his love.” *

Yes, that’s the unconditional love of God for you and for me.  Praise Him for his goodness!

Judy

*”Look at the World” composed by John Rutter
