There are tables of data listing life expectancy of men and women. They usually provide information for your country and or the world, your gender, your basic health etc. All of these delineations are factors in the probability of “making it” to a certain age.
Oddly, to a teen looking ahead, a 35–50 year old person is OLD. That phenomenon changes as we age. A 35 year old wonders if retirement will ever come and how did their parents survive to their sixties, whew! I am blessed with friends of all ages and now am awed by the tenacity of dear friends in their 90s.
Isaiah 46:4 “I will be your God through all your lifetime, yes, even when your hair is white with age. I made you and I will care for you. I will carry you along and be your Savior.” Isn’t this Bible verse wonderful? What a significant blessing our Lord, who loves us unconditionally, is telling us through Isaiah! It does not matter how old we are, He is going to CARRY us along and always be our Savior. With a child-like faith, believe! The reassurance of His love and care should put a little pick up in your step. Reread this beautiful reminder. No matter your age, our loving Savior is there to carry you.
Kick up your heels…whether you are dancing the two-step, or leaning on a walker, or lifting your foot from a wheelchair. Your God is never leaving you and promises to carry you along. White hair, aching bones, limited activity, wrinkles, makes no difference, be His and be blessed.
