Omni (s)

Big, long words, full of meaning: omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient. These OMNI words describe our God.  Omnipresent means our God is everywhere, all at once.  Omnipotent means our God is all powerful and omniscient means our God is all knowing. Absolutely and completely difficult to comprehend.  How can our Father be everywhere all at once and have complete power and know everything? Interestingly, that is where faith comes into the definitions. As BIG and all-encompassing as these three descriptors are, our faith does not have to match it. Instead, Jesus reminds us, if our faith is even the size of a mustard seed, we can “move mountains” in our life.

When I pray for family, friends, the prayer list of concerns, the world, I sometimes ponder the tiny spec I and my needs and wants are in the realm of OMNI(s). How does our Heavenly Father who loves us so unconditionally move from radiating the levels of OMNI(s) to caring about me, and even knowing the numbers of hairs on my head?

The real blessing comes when I leave my pondering of “HOW” and release it to thanking, praising, trusting and believing.  I do not need to concern myself with the “hows” of His omnipresence, omnipotence, and omniscient holiness, but instead thank Him and worship Him for the Greatness He is! Hallelujah

May you know the omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient God and embrace His love for you.  Feed your faith and experience Him.
