Let’s think about this order of size from largest to smallest:: Universe, galaxy, solar system, star, planet, moon and asteroid. The Universe contains billions of galaxies. God is in charge and Ruler of all. How blessed are we that He knows us inside and out, according to Psalm 139, God knows what we are thinking and even going to say before the words are formed? Reading in Matthew chapter 10, we find out the very hairs on our head are numbered and counted. What? How can this be? How could I matter to God? I cannot fathom the vastness of the Universe, nor God’s wisdom, strength, love, and power for me.

        The more I study God’s Word and learn of His unconditional love, the more blessed and comforted I feel. My mind is boggled thinking of the large county in which I live, then our long, narrow state, then the USA, then North America, the Earth, our solar system, …and billions of galaxies.  I matter to my God and realize I am part of the minutia on the scale of our Universe, and still He KNOWS me. I do not have to understand this very broad scope of reality, I must simply believe.

        Crazy as it sounds, after describing the HUGE vastness of the Universe, I am comforted knowing Jesus loves ME. This I know for the Bible tells me so.
