CTRL ALT DELETE

Anyone in this day and age of computers is aware of these keys on a computer. CTRL stands for control, ALT stands for alternate, and DELETE is to cancel. Using all three keys together allows the user to terminate a “hung” application and, if that doesn’t work, to reboot the system.

Certainly not comparing us to a computer, but we do have so many capabilities, some we are even unaware of or don’t use. We can be negative thinkers.  We can get “down” and struggle to feel confident and upbeat some days. Perhaps we are wired with a ctrl-alt-delete button and do not even realize we have it.  Our faith and belief in the one true God can indeed provide us with control, alternates, and the opportunity to delete.  If and when negative thoughts come marching into your mind (we are human, and they will come), we have options. We can embrace them and allow them to swirl us down into depression, OR we can visualize our own ctrl-alt-delete button and push it!  We can call on our dear Lord to control those difficult thoughts, provide us with an alternative thought pattern and delete the negative from our minds.  Just like learning keyboard skills and shortcuts on your computer, learning how to have the Lord as your Savior and Guide takes practice.  How can you find out more? A computer has online help (the Bible is also free online), many books have been written for guidance in computer skills…even PC help for dummies, haha. God has a book, too.  His Holy Word and it has ALL the answers you need. You can press delete to erase on the computer and you can swipe out Satan from intruding into your thoughts.  Bring the Lord into your every thought, praising and thanking Him for His unconditional love and practice your own ctrl-alt-delete efforts.  Allow God to guide your thoughts to please Him and brighten each and every day for you.  Practice the skill.
