For so many of us, in the United States, Thanksgiving is a rather large meal with so many choices. Even organizations that deliver and serve meals to the elderly and homeless, offer so many choices for this specific meal. Turkey or ham, sweet potatoes or mashed potatoes, corn or green bean casserole, pumpkin pie or mincemeat pie, so many choices.
We are faced daily with choices. We can choose to be happy, choose to think positively, choose to trust God, choose faith over fear, choose a God-filled life, or…
Our giving-of-thanks should be a daily offering, rather than only one specific day out of a year. We are loved unconditionally by our Heavenly Father and if for no other reason, we should be so thankful. We are His children, and He knew us, according to Psalm 139, as we were in our mothers’ womb. Separate yourself from others and seek quiet time each day to CHOOSE to be thankful and praise your Father in heaven. Make each and every day, your day for thanks-giving. Jesus died a criminal’s death on the cross for our sins. How thankful are you for His sacrifice? Each day that you waken, know that it is a day you can thank Him for another sunrise, another day to give thanks, another day to love others. CHOOSE thankfulness!

PS/ as a very picky-eater, I love the celebration of Thanksgiving because I have so many choices. As a Believer, I am blessed because Jesus loves me. Amen
