Heads up…I am not a lumberjack, nor a carpenter; however, I do know there are different saws for different jobs. Some examples I am familiar with are: hacksaw – I’ve seen them used on TV/movies when the escapee from prison tries to saw the handcuffs or chains off. A lot of sweat effort goes into this feat. A handsaw-I’ve actually used one of these and there is a rhythm you must find to keep it from wobbling. Wobbling makes the sawing unsuccessful. Again, sweat effort is needed. A pole saw – these saws are generally used when you are trimming smaller tree branches. You are having to look up, control your sawing and not allow a branch to fall on you. A chain saw – the effort with this saw is keeping yourself in touch with the power. You can easily nick your own leg, if you wield it and its power too wildly. How about a table saw? What is so unique about this saw, is the wise operator might have safety goggles on, gloves on, the guiding bar in place and the power of the saw is stabilized on a table. Great Support!
It seems obvious as I read through these, you will quickly realize I am not handy. LOL Well, the table saw cannot do every job, but it teaches a great lesson. It has support and so do you! Your loving Father has you in His arms, loving you unconditionally. You do not have to put in so much sweat effort. You do not need to find a rhythm. You do not need to dodge falling limbs. You do not need to be wary of whacking yourself. Your Father in heaven is your table! He’s got you, but have you given Him your goggles, your guide bar, your trust? He wants you completely and wholly. He wants you to “cast your yoke upon Him.” He wants you to trust Him with your heart and soul. “Lean on Him and lean not unto your own understanding.” Use your mustard seed sized faith to accept the table holding you as you saw your way through this life. What joy you will feel when you trust your support!
