What exactly does that title mean? Will the new year coming be any different than the previous year? Will you be adding family members? Will you find your special someone? Is a raise in the forecast? Are there old resolutions to resurrect or new ones to attempt?

Is God in your New Year plan? Will He be accompanying your thoughts as you transition to another twelve months? The answer to these questions should be an emphatic “YES, God is always with me and loves me unconditionally.” He should not be a second thought or an occasional source for answers. Our dear Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ is as close as your very breath. Allow Him to reside in your heart, mind, and soul as a constant companion.

There is no need to plan a new year’s resolution to think more about God, or to pray more, or to believe more strongly. Let your heart be completely open NOW, this very moment. Jesus is a treasure to hold tightly with no reservation.

Crazy top hats, noise makers, champagne toasts, rockin’ bands, crystal balls falling through a countdown will add to the anticipation for a brand new calendar year. Seeking God and opening your heart to His love, forgiveness, strength, peace and grace is a perfect new beginning or renewed relationship for you to begin today.
