Never be discouraged because some things just don’t change, no matter how hard you try. I know. I wrote the following blog five years ago and – here I am telling you the same thing today, the afternoon before this blog is due.
But this is a great message! A really hopeful and helpful message. See if you don’t agree with me when you read the following:
Oh Lord, here it is Thursday afternoon, and I haven’t written my blog for tomorrow. Where did this week go? It was such a good week. Full of trips to the clinic and improvements to my health. However, somewhere along the way, I lost track of this most special of commitments. It happens. It happens for the best of reasons.
If you, gentle reader, recall the next words in the song “Give Me Just a Little More Time” (by General Johnson and the Chairmen of the Board, 2010), it is “and our love will surely grow.” Human love does grow with time and faithful commitment; however God’s love has no conditions.
It doesn’t matter what else is going on in my life, God’s love continues to grow and surround me. He doesn’t need a little more time. God knows every thing and every why. When I cry out for help, the Holy Spirit answers with love and patience.
I have an answer to prayer. This little blog is sufficient unto itself. Always remember help is just a breath away.
And why is that? Because God loves you unconditionally!

Paul’s words to the Church at Corinth, speaking personally about his own experiences:
9 In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. 10 And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us. 11 And you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety. 2 Corinthians 1:9-11
