My Journey

A special guest blog from a dear friend.
God created each and every one of us and has a plan for our life. When we are babies we are helpless; our parents take care of us totally, teaching us as we grow.  We learn to be self disciplined and self sufficient, while relying on those who love us to steer us in the right direction if we stray.

In my life I struggled many times with my faith in Christ.  Every time I strayed,  I struggled to find the reason or purpose for the circumstances I found myself in.  Whenever I turned back to Abba Father, either through the urging of Christian friends or my own prayer,  His Holy Spirit revealed to me that our lives are journeys.  Because of our free will, we sometimes get into troubled areas.  But that same free will allows us to turn over to God’s care anything that’s going on.  No matter how difficult and He will get us through.

Last year,  unknown to most of my friends, I was in a crisis situation. I could have literally given up hope.  Then I admitted to  God and Pastor Art that  I needed help.  Abba Father answered my prayers through the help of my Pastor, family and lifelong friends. After a short stay in the hospital, my family rallied around me and got me back on track so I can fulfill Gods plan for my life, MY JOURNEY.   I realized  that when our life presents a fork in the road , we need to turn to God.  He shows us the next step in His plan for us.  When it seems just too hard,  we learn to let other Christians help us before we are overwhelmed.

I’m glad to say I’m doing well again physically and mentally.  I’m back in His guidance daily.  And I  also learned that as a Christian we have strength in numbers.  We should never think we can handle everything life throws at us alone .

Your blog spoke to my heart. This is a reminder to ask for help when we need it letting God work through others as well as to always treat others with kindness and love. Thank you. Your “journey” has added so much to so many lives. My prayers go with you.
