Peace Like a River

I grew up in Minnesota about a half mile from the Mississippi river.  I loved to go down and sit on the banks and watch the river flow by.  It was relaxing and peaceful.

Sometimes life just crowds in on us and we need to find that relaxing “go to” spot to regroup and recharge.  At Bible Camp I learned the song “Peace like a river”.  What a thought, we can have that peace just like that meandering river.

Our source of peace is our Lord Jesus.  We need to take a deep breath and allow his spirit to renew and strengthen us. Paul tells us that we can do all thing through Christ who strengthens us.  Let us grab on to that strength and allow God’s peace to rule us.  Remember: God loves you unconditionally!
