Praise to you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!

Dear God, as You know, today is our 55^th wedding anniversary. I am not sure that I can thank You for everything that has happened in this long-time frame, but I can give thanks to You for Your constant presence and unstinting support through the challenging times and the good times.  

I give thanksgiving for these years of love united in a marriage blessed by you-made possible by you. Thanksgiving for our children, family and friends who have supported us, celebrated with us in triumph, and held us in sorrow. Thanksgiving for teachers, employers, customers, clients and neighbors who were there to give us a perspective on the world and helped us to succeed.

Thanksgiving for the willingness to persevere when the times were dark and confusing. Times when we were not sure of our direction. I always felt Your comfort and heard Your guidance. Even when I acted in the human way of following my own direction instead. Praise for Your listening ear.

Praise for this beautiful world that you created for your children. This world with sunsets so astounding that they take my breath away. Blessings that lift our spirits and give us hope for another day.

Finally, dear Lord, thank You for the unconditional love that You give freely and unobstructed by our human failings. This love makes all things possible. Amen
