FYI: Human frailties are part of each of us. Small surgery was to be scheduled for me soon.  While details and pre-op info was being digested, I realized I was scared….and this was sensitive me, so I was tearful too.  My hubby said, “ Gee, this isn’t like you, where is your faith?” When discussing with a nurse friend, she said, “You have such strong faith, you will be fine.” W-e-l-l…I am human and those emotions I had were real. In spite of my weakness, I knew what I had to do. I have a go-to song by Rush of Fools, a Christian Rock Group, that really fills my spirit. I listened to Peace Be Still, frequently. Then I simply whispered “Jesus.” How calm I felt instantly! Why am I still surprised? Our Lord, who loves us unconditionally, knows and understands each of us completely!

While reading one of my daily devotionals, what did I read? I have promised to meet all your needs according to My glorious riches. In quietness and confident trust is your strength. Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. WOW!  I am so incredibly blessed. He does know me. I needed Him and He was there, through music, through His Holy Word, through family and friends. What a comfort our dear Savior is for us. Trust in Him. Jesus loves me, this I know.
