You know those little soft cloth squares you might use to clean your glasses? Sometimes you get them as “gift swag” from companies at events. So, one of mine has the emblem “Zeiss” on the corner. I never noticed it until I actually looked at the cloth I can reach from my top desk drawer almost without looking. Zeiss is vision care company, not that I noticed when I got it from I don’t remember where. Or even cared until I got into this blog. The Zeiss wipe helps one see things more clearly, love them more dearly, follow them more nearly… “Day by Day”. (I couldn’t help think musically for a moment).

Prayer can do that – help us see more. With Jesus, we can have perfect 20/20 vision. We may not like what we see: hurting, desparate lives that are parched by neglect or abuse.We can choose a brighter vision, for them and for us. The loving truth that we confess and believe. We have to always be wiping those lenses so we can see with Jesus’ eyes. That is a keystone on the path of growing spiritually. Let your vision be a soothing balm for your soul. See the things you rarely notice or take for granted. Birds. Sunrises. Your dog sleeping peacefully. Hand-made items. Photos you haven’t given more than a casual glance in months, maybe years. See God more clearly. Love Him more deeply. Follow Him more nearly…”Day by Day”. You will see with crystal clarity that He loves you unconditionally!
